About Us
Ferret Services of Freedom is a NH licensed, 501c3 (non-profit) ferret
shelter located in Freedom, New Hampshire which was formed in August 1995
specifically for the purpose of:

- Providing rescue and shelter for the domestic
ferret.
- Promoting a better understanding of the domestic ferret
to the public, veterinarians, and pet shop owners through education.
Education consists of maintaining and caring for the ferret and keeping
abreast of the latest trends in medical care regarding the
ferret.
- Providing an annual forum (Ferret Fun Day) for ferret
owners to get together and network with other ferret owners, to enjoy
the characteristics of the ferret in a fun environment, and at the same
time raise funds for shelter programs.

Ferret Services of Freedom does not have
any paid staff. While I do run the shelter, I do not get paid for doing
this. I do it out of love for these endearing little creatures. In fact, I
hold a full time job in order to pay the mortgage, car payment, etc. so that the
ferrets have a place to call home while they are with us. If you call or
email and do not get an immediate response, please keep in mind that oftentimes
I do have after-hour work commitments, family commitments, as well as vet and
fundraising commitments for the ferrets.
