Ferret Fun Day

For the past 11 years, Ferret Services of Freedom has hosted an annual ferret event affectionately called "Ferret Fun Day".  This event was held held at the North Conway Community Center each May with hundreds of people and their ferrets from various parts of the East Coast in attendance.  Our last Annual Ferret Fun Day was held on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 10-4 at the North Conway Community Center, located in North Conway, NH. Here are some pictures from Ferret Fun Day 2003, 2004 & 2005. Click here and go to Album 5 to see Cindy B's Ferret Fun Day pictures!

North Conway is located in the heart of the Mt. Washington Valley in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  It is located about 1 1/2 hours north of Concord, and about 1 1/2 hours north of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  It is about a 1 1/2 hour drive west from Portland, Maine.

Traditional contests include paper bag escape, tube races, floppy duck races, flower pot excavation, turtle race, best trick, best costume, etc.  The ferrets enjoy the contests as much as the spectators!  First through sixth place winners receive ribbons. We also draw a door prize for some lucky winner.  We always try out new contests, so join us and see what fun is in store for you and your ferrets!

Each year the event includes silent auction items, a ribbon for the best-dressed vendor table, and Chinese auction tables with some really great stuff.  Vendors are on site offering unique and hard-to-find ferret items.  Of course, there is the refreshment table with various food and snack items.  The doors open at 10:00 a.m. and we end the day by 4:00 p.m.  Ferrets must be current on all vaccinations and you must provide proof upon attendance!  No proof--no entry.
